MPowered Kids, nfp™ Summer Camp
is a specially designed program for children and adolescents
with a variety of communication and social delays. Including,
but not limited to: Social anxiety, autistim, aspergers, pdd
and integration dysfunction disorder. Children who may not
have a specific diagnosis but struggle in social and communicative
situations would also benefit from this program.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
We at Mpowered Kids, nfp™, want to focus on what our students
can do… Not what their limitations are.
Participants in this program will experience a unique theatre
arts curriculum. Classes are taught by specially trained professionals
pertaining to the needs of the students.
Our staff includes:
• Social Workers
• Occupational Therapists
• Speech and Language Pathologist
• Special Education Teachers
• Drama Coach
• Music Director
• Voice Coach
• Stage/Technical Producer
• Dance Teachers
• Professional Photographer
Children and their families can benefit from support groups offered specifically
for siblings and parents by a certified social worker during class time.
Summer Theatre Arts Camp:
Students 3rd - 8th grade (2009-2010 school year) are eligible.
Classes will be held:
Mondays & Thursdays
4:00-5:30 p.m. June 15 - August 6, 2009
Classes and Rehersals will be held at:
Starland Creativity Center

Performances are August 8th & 9th (location TBD)
Fee:
$500 that includes classes, family support, 1 Mpowered kids t-shirt.
Snacks during
class time provided by Jamba Juice and Dairy Queen
Children that participate in the 2009 Summer Program will have the unique opportunity
to be a part of a documentary film that is being
produced.
